Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is an upcoming video game for the Xbox 360. It is being developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game is set in the fictional world of Mortal Kombat and will feature characters from the fighting game series, as well as new characters. The game was first hinted at in a leaked document from 2009, which stated that NetherRealm Studios was working on a new Mortal Kombat game for the Xbox 360. In February of this year, it was announced that Shaolin Monks would be the title’s protagonist and would be playable through online multiplayer mode only. In March of this year, it was announced that Liu Kang would also be playable in the game. So far, there are no release dates for either title, but we can expect them to come out sometime in 2013 or 2014. We’ll just have to wait and see what NetherRealm Studios has in store for us!
