If you’re a group text user on Android, there’s a good chance you’ve used the add person feature to add someone to your conversation. This is a great way to keep your conversations organized and easy to join. But what if you want to add someone who isn’t in your group text, but is still in the same area of the world? Or if you want to add someone who is no longer in your group text but still uses the app? There are two ways to do this: by using the contact list or by using an invite. The first way is easier, but it requires some extra steps. First, open up the app and sign in with your Google account. Then open up a new chat room or conversation and invite the person you want to add. They’ll need their Google account too - just enter their email address into the chat room or conversation and they’ll be added automatically. The second way is more complicated, but it’s also more efficient. To add someone from outside of your group text, first open up an existing chat room or conversation and sign in with that person’s Google account. Then open up a new chat room or conversation and invite the person you want to add using their contact information (email address). They’ll need their Google account too - just enter their email address into the chat room or conversation and they’ll be added automatically.
