When you’re working with illustrations, it’s important to keep in mind the Pantone colors. These are the standard colors for printing and graphic design, and they can be used to help create a consistent look in your work. To assign a Pantone color to an object or layer in Illustrator, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the object or layer you want to use as a base. This can be anything from a simple shape like a circle or square to an entire piece of artwork.
  2. Click on the color wheel at the top of the screen and select one of the standard Pantone colors. For example, if you want blue for your base color, then click on blue on the wheel and select that as your base color.
  3. Drag and drop the color onto your object or layer. You’ll see it change automatically according to how many hexadecimal digits it has in its name (for example, #FFFFFF). Once it’s set up correctly, just press OK to finish!
