If you’re like most people, you probably keep bookmarks on your Android device. Whether you use them to store passwords or just to remember where you left off in a web page, bookmarking is a great way to keep your information organized and safe. But if you lose your Android device or if it’s stolen, your bookmarks will be lost forever. To protect your bookmarks on Android, follow these steps:
- Backup your bookmarks using the Google Drive app. This will create a file called “bookmark_backup.txt” in the same directory as yourAndroid device’s data folder.
- Open Google Drive and select the “Backup my account” option under “My Documents.” Then select the “Bookmark backup” option and enter the path to the “bookmark_backup.txt” file that you created in step 1. Click “Back up now.”
- If everything goes well, your bookmarks will be backed up and available when you next restore your Android device or when you need them again. If something goes wrong, don’t worry - you can always restore them using Google Drive’s online backup service or by using another storage provider (like iCloud).
