If you’re like most clarinetists, you probably clean your mouthpiece at least once a week. But how do you go about cleaning it? Here are four tips:

  1. Use a soft cloth or a toothbrush to clean the surface of the mouthpiece. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
  2. If the mouthpiece is made of metal, use a brass brush to remove any tarnish or corrosion. Be careful not to scratch the surface!
  3. If the mouthpiece is made of plastic, use a soft cloth and soap to clean it. Be sure to rinse it off thoroughly before putting it back in your clarinet.
  4. If you don’t have any other way to clean your mouthpiece, you can use a mild dishwashing detergent and water to wipe it down. Just be sure to rinse it off thoroughly before putting it back in your clarinet ..
