If your PS4 Pro is starting to feel a bit too hot to the touch, there’s a good chance that it’s overheating and needs some cleaning. Here’s how to do it:
- Remove the console’s power cord and then remove the screws that hold the top cover in place.
- Carefully lift off the top cover and then remove the heat sink assembly (see photo below).
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment to clean all of the thermal paste off of the heat sink (see photo below). Make sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
- Replace the heat sink assembly, screws, and top cover and then plug in your console again. You’re done! ..
