If your PS4 Pro is starting to feel a bit too hot to the touch, there’s a good chance that it’s overheating and needs some cleaning. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Remove the console’s power cord and then remove the screws that hold the top cover in place.
  2. Carefully lift off the top cover and then remove the heat sink assembly (see photo below).
  3. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment to clean all of the thermal paste off of the heat sink (see photo below). Make sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
  4. Replace the heat sink assembly, screws, and top cover and then plug in your console again. You’re done! ..
