If you’re like most trombonists, you probably clean your mouthpiece at least once a week. But how do you go about cleaning it? Here are four tips:
- Use a soft cloth or a toothbrush to clean the inside of the mouthpiece. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
- Use a small amount of soap and water to clean the outside of the mouthpiece. Be sure to rinse it off thoroughly.
- If your mouthpiece is made out of brass, use a brass cleaner to remove any tarnish or corrosion. Be careful not to damage the surface!
- Finally, dry your mouthpiece with a soft cloth or paper towel. ..
