If you live in a climate where the ground is frozen solid for months on end, your pool may be covered in snow and ice. When the weather warms up and the ice melts, you’ll want to clean your pool. Follow these simple steps to get your pool ready for summer:
- Clear away any snow and ice from around the pool. Use a shovel or a rake to remove as much of the snow and ice as possible.
- Fill a bucket with warm water and add some chlorine bleach (or another sanitizing agent). Swish the water around in the pool area to mix it up well.
- Pour the water into a spray bottle and use it to clean all of the surfaces around the pool, including walls, steps, rails, and coping stones. Be sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
- Rinse off all of the surfaces with fresh water once they’re clean.
- Wait until all of the chlorine has dissipated before swimming in your pool! ..
