If you live in a house with an oven, it’s important to clean it after a fire extinguisher. Cleaning the oven will help prevent any further fires and make your oven more efficient.
- Open the oven door and remove any obstructions.
- Pour a pot of boiling water onto the stove to create steam. Place the oven door on top of the pot of water and close the door. Let the oven cool for 10 minutes.
- Pour a pot of cold water onto the stove to create steam again and place the oven door on top of that pot of water again. Close the door and let the oven cool for another 10 minutes or until all of its components are cold (the parts that touch each other should be cold).
- Remove any food or debris that has been left inside the oven by using a plunger or vacuum cleaner with suction cups; do not use your hands! Be careful not to damage anything else inside, as this may take some time to clean up properly!
- Use a hairdryer on high heat to dry any remaining moisture from everything inside (this may take some time). Finally, put everything back together and turn on your oven!
