Brita pitcher handle can get dirty and it’s hard to clean it. Here are some tips on how to clean the Brita pitcher handle:

  1. Pour a pot of boiling water onto the filter and place the pitcher in it. Boil water for about 10 minutes then pour it over the filter. Let the water cool for a few minutes then use a plunger to suction onto the top of the filter and pull out.
  2. Pour cold water into a sink and fill a bucket with ice. Place the pitcher in the ice bucket and pour cold water over top of the pitcher. Let cool for a few minutes then use a plunger to suction onto top of the filter and pull out.
  3. Use an oven mitt or other warm object to push down on top of each end of the filter so that liquid is forced out from between them into the sink where it will cool before being poured off into another pot or bucket waiting for next step
