Stamping plates are one of the most important tools in a scrapbooker’s arsenal, but they can quickly become dirty and clogged with ink. Here are four easy ways to clean them:
- Fill a sink with hot water and add a teaspoon of dish soap. Swish the stamping plate around in the water until it is clean. Drain the water and dry the plate with a paper towel.
- Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a cotton ball and swab the stamping plate clean. Wipe off any excess alcohol with a paper towel.
- Fill a spray bottle with warm water and add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice. Spray the stamping plate clean, then wipe off any excess vinegar or lemon juice with a paper towel.
- Pour boiling water onto the stamping plate and let it sit for 30 seconds to soften any ink residue. Swish the stamping plate around in the hot water until it is clean, then drain and dry it off. ..
