Android users have a wealth of photo-editing options at their fingertips, but cropping photos can be a bit of a challenge. Here are four tips for getting the perfect crop on Android.

  1. Use the camera’s zoom feature. Zooming in on your photo gives you more control over how much of the image you want to keep. Just be sure to keep in mind the size of your final photo—a too-zoomed-in image will result in a cropped photo that’s too small to see clearly.
  2. Use the “fit” function. Android’s “fit” function lets you resize your photo without losing any quality. Just tap and hold on one of the corner points of your photo, and then drag it into place to resize it. (You can also use this function to crop photos.)
  3. Use Android’s “crop” function. Android’s “crop” function lets you remove part or all of an image from its original location without losing any quality or data—perfect for cropping out unwanted elements from your photos! To use this feature, first select your desired area of the photo by tapping and holding on it, and then drag it into place where you want it to appear in your final picture.
