When you want to create a clipping image in Illustrator, you first need to create a new document. Then, you’ll need to select the Image tool and click on the clipping image thumbnail in the Tools palette. Once you’ve clicked on the thumbnail, you’ll see a new window that will appear. This window will have three tabs: Clipboard, Graphics, and Thumbnails. The Clipboard tab will list all of the images that have been clipped from your document. The Graphics tab will show all of the graphics that have been clipped from your document. The Thumbnails tab will list all of the images that have been clipped from your document and will also show which graphics are currently being used for this clip. If you want to remove an image from the Clipboard or Graphics tab, just click on it and then select Remove from Clipboard or Remove from Graphics.
