In Photoshop, layers are like folders on your computer. You can create as many layers as you want, and each layer can have its own set of properties (such as opacity, color, and position). When you want to change the properties of a layer, you first need to select it. To select a layer, use the Selection tool (the white arrow in the toolbar).
