When you want to select a layer in Photoshop, there are a few things you can do. You can use the selection tools, or the eyedropper. The selection tools are great for selecting small areas of your image, while the eyedropper is great for selecting entire layers. To select a layer in Photoshop, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the layer you want to select from the Layers palette.
  2. Use one of the selection tools to select an area of your image that you want to work with. For example, if you want to select a part of your image that is on the left side of the screen, use the leftmost selection tool on the Layers palette and drag it over to where you want to start working with your layer.
  3. When you have selected all of your desired area, press Command+A (Windows) or Control+A (Mac) to create a new selection and press Command+D (Windows) or Control+D (Mac) to delete it.
