If you have a PlayStation 4, there is a good chance that you have upgraded to the latest firmware. However, if you want to downgrade your firmware, it is important to be aware of some of the steps that need to be followed. First and foremost, it is important to make sure that your PlayStation 4 is properly plugged into an electrical outlet. Next, make sure that your computer is connected to the same electrical outlet as your PlayStation 4. Finally, make sure that you have the appropriate software installed on your computer in order to downgrade firmware. Once you have downloaded and installed the appropriate software, follow these steps:
- Open the software and click on the “Firmware Upgrade” button. This will take you to a new screen where you will need to enter your PlayStation 4’s serial number. Once this has been entered correctly, click on the “Upgrade” button.
- Once upgrade has completed, please check for any updates by going back into the software and clicking on “Update Now.” If there are any updates available, they will be displayed in this window. If not, please wait until all updates are available before continuing with this step.
- Once all updates are available, please click on “Downgrade” and follow these instructions: a) Click on “Next.” b) On the next screen, enter your current PS4 firmware version number (e.g., 3.50). c) Click on “Next.” d) On the next screen, select whether or not you want to downgrade automatically (the default). e) Click on “Downgrade.” f) After downgrading has completed successfully, please check for any errors by going back into the software and clicking on “Update Now.” g) If there are any errors encountered during downgrading process please contact our customer service team at 1-800-853-1212 for assistance!
