When you’re working in Illustrator, it’s easy to get lost in the creative process. But if you want to leave the presentation mode and return to normal, there are a few steps you can take.

  1. Choose File > Exit Presentation Mode. This will close all of your open files and return you to the normal Illustrator interface.
  2. Type File > New > File and select a new file name. This will create a new file with the same name as your old file, but in presentation mode.
  3. Type File > Save As and give your new file a name that reflects your current work environment: for example, “ExitPresentationMode_ illustrator.” This will save your new file in presentation mode and keep it open so you can continue working on it later.
