If you’re like most Android tablet owners, you probably use your tablet’s headphone jack to listen to music or watch videos. But if your tablet has a broken headphone jack, you may not be able to use your tablet the way you want. Here’s how to fix a broken headphone jack on an Android tablet:
- Turn off your tablet and disconnect all of the cables connected to it. This includes the power cord, USB cable, and any other cables that may be connected.
- Remove the back cover of your tablet by gently pressing on one corner and pulling it away from the device. Be careful not to damage the screen while doing this.
- Locate and remove the battery if it’s installed in your device. You’ll also need to remove any SIM cards or other removable storage devices if they’re attached.
- Once everything is removed, you’ll see two screws that hold down the motherboard of your device (these are usually located near either side of the screen). Remove these screws with a Phillips head screwdriver (or a similar tool). Be careful not to lose any screws!
- Now that the motherboard is free, gently pull it out from the device body so that you have access to both sides of the headphone jack (or other port that may be damaged). If necessary, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry open any stubborn clips holding down wires or components near the port.
- Once everything is loose, carefully remove it from its socket and replace it with a new one if necessary (or just reattach any wires that were disconnected). Replace all of the screws in their original locations before reassembling your device back together! ..
