If you’re like most people, you probably use PowerPoint to present presentations. But if you want to import a PowerPoint presentation into Illustrator, there are a few things you need to know. First, PowerPoint is a Windows application. So if you’re using Windows 7 or 8, you’ll need to install the Microsoft Office suite first. Then open Illustrator and click on the File menu and select Import from Folder. In the resulting dialog box, select the folder where your PowerPoint presentation is located. If your presentation is in an external drive (like a USB drive), make sure it’s selected in the Drive drop-down list and then click on OK. Next, enter the name of your PowerPoint presentation in the Name field and then click on OK. The imported PowerPoint will be opened in its own window and will have its own menu bar at the top of that window. You can use this window to change some of its settings (like its font size and color). But for now, just focus on the main part of this window: The Content pane. This pane will show all of the content from your imported PowerPoint presentation. Now that you’ve imported your PowerPoint presentation into Illustrator, it’s time to start working with it! To start working with it, just click on one of its pieces (or drag it around if it’s not already there) and then start drawing or editing its content.
