When you import photos into Lightroom, you’ll be prompted to choose a file type. If you have a RAW file, Lightroom will automatically create a JPEG version of the photo. If you don’t have a RAW file, you can choose to import an image as a JPEG or PNG. If you’re importing photos from an online source, such as Flickr or Instagram, Lightroom will also automatically create a JPEG version of the photo. You can then save this JPEG version on your computer or use it to create prints.
