Lightroom is a great photo editor, but it can be difficult to import DNG files into the program. Here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Open Lightroom and click the Import button on the left side of the main screen.
  2. Choose the file you want to import from your computer’s hard drive. If you’re importing a JPEG file, choose JPEG instead of DNG.
  3. Click OK to start importing the file. Lightroom will ask you for some basic information about the file, such as its name and size. After it’s finished importing, you’ll see a list of all the files it imported in this way. You can select any of them by clicking on it and then clicking on the Edit button next to its name in that list.
  4. In this editor, you can change all sorts of things about the imported files, such as their color or brightness levels. But if you want to keep these files in Lightroom permanently, you’ll need to click on Export As .DNG and then save them as a PNG or JPG file (.dng if they’re JPEGs).
