Sea of Thieves is a new game for Xbox One that’s set in the world of Piracy. You and your friends can team up to take on pirates together, or play by yourself. The game is free-to-play, but you can buy in-game items to increase your chances of winning. To join a friend in Sea of Thieves, you first need to create an account. Once you have an account, you can find them on the Friends list on the left side of the main menu. To join them in game, just type “join” into the chat box and they will be there with you. If you want to play by yourself, Sea of Thieves has its own mode called “Cooperative Mode” which is available from the main menu. In Cooperative Mode, players work together to take down waves of pirates while avoiding their traps and cannons. The goal is to get as many treasure chests as possible before time runs out. If you want to team up with someone else for a game, there are two ways to do it: through social media or through matchmaking. Social media works just like normal multiplayer games: players post their location and friends can join in without having to sign in first. However, if someone else is already playing with someone else on social media, they won’t be able to join until that person logs out or leaves the game. Matchmaking works a little differently: instead of posting your location and waiting for others who are also looking for players, you post what type of game you want to play and other players will then choose one for them based on how many people they want playing at once (plus any other factors). So if there are only three people interested in playing cooperative mode (instead of ten), those three people will get chosen instead of somebody who just posted about wanting to play cooperative mode but didn’t specify what kind of game they wanted played.
