If you’re ever going to take a car onto a trailer, make sure it’s running. If not, you’ll have to do some extra work to get it moving.
- Open the door of the car and remove the battery and any other removable items.
- Place the car on its back on the ground and remove all of its parts except for the engine and transmission.
- Place one end of the engine/transmission cable between two posts in the ground and use a hammer or screwdriver to tighten it down so that it’s immobile (it should now be in a “bunny ear” shape).
- The other end of the cable should now be attached to one of the posts on top of the car, just above where your feet are standing (you’ll need to be able to reach this post).
- Lift up on one end of the cable and move the car so that it’s sitting on top of the cable (you may need help from someone else). Now lift up on both ends ofthe cable at once and move it back down so that it’s lying flat on top ofthe car again (it should now be in its original position).
