If you’re a YouTube user on Android, there’s a good chance that you’ve experienced the frustrating problem of your screen not unlocking when you try to access your account from outside of your device. This is because YouTube uses a security feature called “fingerprint scanning.” If someone has access to your phone and can scan your fingerprint sensor, they can unlock your screen. To solve this problem, you can use one of two methods: either use a third-party app like ADB or Fastboot to sideload the YouTube app onto your device, or set up a secure password for YouTube that only you can use. If you sideload the YouTube app onto your device, make sure that you have permission to do so from Google. You can find this information in the Google Play Store’s settings page. Once you’ve granted permission, open the YouTube app and sign in with your Google account. Once inside the YouTube app, go to Settings and select Security and Fingerprint Scanning. Under Fingerprints Scanning, enable “Scan fingerprints when opening my account.” Now try opening an account on another device and see if it works! If not, please let us know in the comments below!
