There are a few things you need to know if you want to make a stroke in Photoshop. First, make sure that your cursor is on the bottom left corner of the canvas. Second, select the Pen tool and click on the black line that runs from top left to bottom right on the canvas. Finally, drag your mouse over the line and release when you have created a straight line.
