If you’re like most Android app developers, you want your app to run as smoothly as possible. But sometimes you just can’t devote the time to keep your app running in the background all the time. That’s where Background Mode comes in. With Background Mode, your app can run in the background even when you’re not using it. Here are four tips on how to make your Android app run in Background Mode:
- Enable Background Mode In Your App Settings To enable Background Mode, open your app settings and click on “Background Modes.” You will see three options: “Foreground,” “Background,” and “Auto-Stop.” Select “Background Mode” and click on the “On/Off switch” to turn it on.
- Set Up A Scheduled Task To Run Your App In The Background Every Day Or Weeknight If you want your app to run in the background all the time, you will need to set up a scheduled task to do it for you. To do this, open Task Manager (by pressing Windows Key + R and typing taskmgr) and select “Create A New Task…” In the window that opens, type “android startAppName –mode=background –schedule=daily at 7am or nightly at 11pm” (without quotes) and press Enter. This will create a task that will start your app in Background Mode every day at 7am or every night at 11pm. You can change these times if you want them to happen during different hours of the day or night. ..
