If your car battery is in bad shape, it’s time to get it reconditioned. This will help it hold a charge longer and prevent it from going out.

  1. Remove the battery cover and unscrew the four screws that hold the battery in place.
  2. Pry the battery out of its housing and place it on a surface that’s clean and free of dust or debris.
  3. Place a new battery into its housing and screw it back in place.
  4. Replace all of the screws that hold the cover on to the battery, making sure they’re tight against the housing.
