If you’ve ever deleted a message on Kik, you know that it’s not as easy as just pressing the delete button. In fact, Kik doesn’t actually delete the message; it just removes it from your chat history. So if you want to recover a deleted message, there’s a good chance you’ll have to go through Kik’s messaging system one by one and search for it. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open up Kik and sign in.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen (or press Menu and then tap on Chat).
  3. Under “History,” tap on the arrow next to a chat session that you want to recover a deleted message from.
  4. If the chat session has been archived (meaning that it’s been saved), then you’ll see a green dot next to it and an “Archived” label will appear below the chat window (pictured below).
