There are a few things you need to know if you want to run an action in Photoshop. First, the action must be named after a file name. For example, “MyAction.psd”. Second, the action must be placed in the same Photoshop document as the image or video you are working on. Third, the action must be enabled by default. Finally, your user interface should look like this: Now that you have everything set up, let’s run our MyAction.psd action:
- Choose File > New > Action from the menu bar and name your new action MyAction.psd.
- In the Action Type field, choose PSD from the drop-down list and click OK.
- In the User Interface field, type a name for your new action and click OK again.
- Click on OK in all three fields to close Photoshop and return to your document window.
