When you create a new DWG file in Illustrator, you are given the option to save it as a PDF or PNG. If you choose to save the file as a PDF, you will be able to open and view the DWG file on your computer without having to install any software. If you choose to save the file as a PNG, however, you will need to install Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator separately in order to create aDWG file. To save a DWG file as a PNG, follow these steps:

  1. Open Illustrator and click on the File menu and select Save As… .
  2. In the Save As dialog box, select PDF from the drop-down list and click on OK .
  3. The PDF document will be created and saved in your illustrator folder.
