There are a few things you can do to separate an image in a layer in Gimp to make it easier to work with. The first is to select the image and press the command “separate”. This will create a new layer called “Image_Separator” which will have a white border around it. The second thing you can do is to use the command “copy” on the Image_Separator layer and then paste it into another image. Finally, you can use the command “paste into” on the new image to paste the Image_Separator into it.
