Text tones are a critical part of any Android device’s user interface. They can be used to set the tone of an entire conversation, or just a few specific words. Here are three tips to get started:
- Choose the right tone for your text. There are many different text tones available on Android, but there is one that is most important for conversations: Normal. This tone is used to help people understand what you’re saying and make it easy for them to read.
- Set the tone for your app’s interface. Your app’s interface will also have a different text tone depending on its typeface and color scheme. For example, if your app is designed in a dark style, then the texttone should be black or dark gray. If your app is designed in a light style, then the texttone should be white or light gray.
- Use defaults when needed but change them when desired. If you don’t want to set specific texttones, you can use defaults whenever needed but change them when desired by using the “texttone” setting in your app’s preferences (or by using the “texttones” option in Settings).
