In Photoshop, margins are a critical part of creating a professional looking document. Margins help to separate elements on a page, and can also be used to add space between elements on a table or in a text field. Here are some tips on how to create effective margins in Photoshop:
- Start by creating a new layer and name it “Margin.”
- In the Layers palette, click the + button to add another layer above the “Margin” layer. This new layer will have an orange border around it.
- In the Layer Properties panel, set the following properties: • Margin: 0px;• Width: 100%;• Height: 100%;• Background: #FFFFFF;
- Click OK to close the Layer Properties panel and return to the “Margin” layer.
- Now that you have your new margin layer created, it’s time to start adding your content! To do this, drag any of your text or images into the margin layer and place them at the desired location within your document. You can also use keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+F5 for example) to quickly move items around within your margin layer without having to worry about mouse movement issues.
