If you’re a Photoshop user, then you know how to use the crop tool. But if you’re not familiar with it, here’s how to use it:
- Choose the crop tool from the Tools palette.
- Drag the cursor over the image or object you want to crop, and then release the mouse button. The crop tool will automatically select all of the pixels in that area and place them in a new layer called “Crop.”
- To resize or rotate the cropped area, select one of the following options from the Layer menu: • Resize: Change how much space is left on either side of the cropped area. The size of each resize option is controlled by a slider at the bottom of the Layer menu. You can also drag and drop this layer onto another image or object to resize it there as well. • Rotate: Change how much clockwise or counterclockwise rotation is allowed within this cropped area. The size of each rotate option is controlled by a slider at the bottom of the Layer menu. You can also drag and drop this layer onto another image or object to rotate it there as well.
