Edges can be a little rough in Photoshop, but with a few simple steps, they can be softened and even polished. Here are three tips to help:
- Start by selecting the edge of the object you want to smooth out. Choose Edit > Preferences > Edge Detection and set the threshold to 0.5. This will make the edge detection more accurate and less likely to miss important edges.
- Next, select the area of the object you want to smooth out using the Selection tool (L). Make sure that the selection is large enough so that all of the edges are affected, and then use Ctrl+C or Cmd+C to copy the selection and smooth it out using Edit > Preferences > Edge Detection again.
- Finally, use a brush or other tool to apply a thin layer of color over all of the selected edges (G). This will give your object a more finished look and make it easier to see where each edge should be smoothed out.
