Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIE) has announced that it is taking steps to stop users copying add-ons for the PlayStation 4. The company said that it will be implementing a new policy that will require users to create a new account and sign in with their PS4 credentials in order to copy add-ons. SIE also said that it will be working with game publishers and developers to create more robust policies around the use of add-ons, and that it will provide support for users who experience any issues with this policy. This move comes as a response to concerns over how easy it is for others to copy Sony’s copyrighted content on the PlayStation 4. Earlier this year, Sony was forced to apologize after a user uploaded a video of himself copying an entire game library onto his PS4.
