If you’re looking to move files from your Chromebook to your Android device, there are a few different ways to go about it. Here’s how to do it using each method.
- Use Google Drive If you have a Google account and a Google Drive account, you can easily move files between the two platforms using the Google Drive app. Just open the app on your Chromebook and sign in with your Google account information. Then, connect your Android device to the same network as your Chromebook and open the Drive app on that device. Select the files you want to transfer and drag them over to the Drive window on your Chromebook. Once they’re transferred, click “Save” in the Drive app on your Android device and they’ll be saved permanently on your Chromebook.
- Use FileZilla FTP Client If you don’t have a Google account or if you want to transfer larger files than GoogleDrive can handle, FileZilla is an excellent option for transferring files between devices. You can download FileZilla from www.filezilla-project.org/download/. Once you have FileZilla installed, open it up on both devices and connect them together using an FTP connection (port 21 is usually good). On your Chromebook, select the files you want to transfer and drag them over into the FileZilla window. On your Android device, click “Open” in FileZilla and select the folder where you want the files saved (Chromebooks usually save transfers in Downloads). Once they’re transferred, click “Save” in FileZilla on both devices and they’ll be saved permanently. ..
