If you’re like most PlayStation 4 owners, you probably have a few games stored on your console’s internal hard drive. But if you want to move those games to an external hard drive, there are a few things you need to know. First, make sure your PS4 is connected to the internet and that your computer is up and running. Then, create a new folder on your external hard drive and name it “PS4 Games.” Next, copy the files for each game that you want to move into this new folder. For example, if you want to transfer the game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” into the “PS4 Games” folder, copy the following files into that new folder: “CODMW3_x64.iso” and “CODMW3_ps4.iso”. Finally, open up PlayStation 4’s software update system and update all of your games so they’re compatible with the latest version of PlayStation 4 (currently 5.50). Once all of your games are updated, close PlayStation 4’s software update system and reopen it so you can start moving your games into the “PS4 Games” folder.
