If you’re like most people, you probably take a lot of photos with your phone. But if you want to turn those photos into beautiful silhouettes, Gimp is the program for you. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to do it in just a few easy steps. First, open up Gimp and create a new file. (You can use any photo size or resolution.) Next, select the photo you want to use and click on the “Image” menu item in the toolbar at the top of the screen. From here, select “Transform…” and then choose “Silhouette.” The Silhouette dialog box will appear. (You can also access this dialog box by clicking on the “Image” menu item again and selecting “Transform…” from the resulting sub-menu.) Here, you will need to enter some basic information about your photo: its width and height in pixels, its angle (in degrees), and its fill color (if desired). You can also specify whether or not your photo should be filled with white or black pixels (the default is black). Finally, click on the “OK” button to apply your changes. Your photo now looks like a beautiful silhouette! To finish off this tutorial, we suggest trying out some of Gimp’s other transform features: blurring an image; adding text; creating a border; and more! ..
