If you’re like most people, you use Illustrator to create logos, icons, and other graphics. But if you want to save space on your hard drive or don’t want your graphics to look too big, you can turn off the “expand appearance” feature in Illustrator. Here’s how:
- Open Illustrator and select the object or objects you want to change.
- On the Options bar, click the General tab and then click the Expand Appearance button (it looks like a plus sign).
- In the Expand Appearance dialog box, select either Always or Never from the drop-down menu next to “Expand Appearance.”
- Click OK to close the dialog box and save your changes. ..
