But did you know that you can also use it to read digital files, like photos and text messages? To do this, you need an SD card reader. SD card readers are small devices that plug into your computer’s USB port and allow you to read files from an SD card. You can also buy SD cards with built-in readers. Once you have an SD card reader, insert the SD card into the reader. If the reader has a light on it, it should turn green when the card is detected. If the reader doesn’t have a light, check to see if there is a slot for an SD card in the device’s front or back panel. If there isn’t a slot, try inserting the card into another device that has a reader or search for an online retailer that sells readers with built-in slots.
