GIMP is a free software photo editor and image converter. It can open most common file types, including JPEG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF files. To be sure that GIMP can open your file type, you can try it out on a test image. To do this, choose File > Open with GIMP and select a test image from the list of images that appear. If your file type is not listed in the list, GIMP may not be able to open it.
