Sony Interactive Entertainment America announced today that the PlayStation 4 system will be updated at 9 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, September 5th to version 4.50. This update includes new features and enhancements, including:
- A new Quick Menu that makes it easier to access your favorite games and applications quickly. The Quick Menu can be accessed by pressing the PS button on your controller or by selecting “Settings” from the main menu and then “System”.
- A new “Share Play” feature that lets you invite friends to join in your game sessions without having to leave the game you are playing. Share Play is available when you are online and playing a supported title*. Share Play is also available when using a PlayStation VR headset*. To use Share Play, simply press the share button on your controller and select “Invite Friends” from the list of options that appears. You can then select friends who are online or in a VR game* and start playing together.
- An updated user interface that makes it easier to find what you are looking for, including an improved search function for content across all of your PS4 systems. ..
